Freyja or Freya, is the god associated with love, fertility and war. Her name means "The Lady". Freya is married to Odr and together they have two children, Hnoss and Gersimi. She belongs to the Vanir group of gods, who are associated with nature,wild places and animals. Freya would wear an enchanted necklace called the Brisingamen, when she wore this enchanted necklace, no man could resist her beauty. She often travelled on a cat drawn chariot or rode a boar that had golden bristles. Freya wept tears of gold when she was very upset.
